This Ruger manufactured receiver is for the early model 44 RS semi-auto carbine in 44 Magnum caliber which uses the first variation trigger guard assembly (lacking the button style cartridge stop) and the cartridge guide plate which mounts using two screws. The receiver is factory notched on the left hand side for a receiver sight. This receiver is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. Receivers are the only part on the model 44 carbine that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)
